The Geraldine FFA had a great go at the State FFA Convention. Chelise (CJ) came out on top when she won the Junior Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event. Between the Prelims of Creed finals, she won 4th place in the Montana Farm Bureau Foundation Speech Contest, winning $100.
The Food Science Team placed 12th; team members in their respective ranks were Noah Marinez, Sienna Stone, Alysha Coffman, and Tyler McOmber.
Our Agriculture Sales and Service team placed 30th team members Sienna Stone, Chelise Stone, Mitch Stone, and Noah Martinez.
The Floriculture Team placed 39th team members were Maddison Jones, Maddy Stone, Gracelyn Roudebush, and Savannah Tull.
Rounding out the teams participating at State was the Agronomy team, placing 41st, members Mitch Stone, Payson Dickinson, Maddison Jones, and Jonathyn Stone.
We also had three individuals who earned their State FFA Degrees. Sienna Stone, Payson Dickinson, and Tyler McOmber can proudly claim to be among the elite 2.5 % who have earned this level of degree in our state. Our Delegates were Tyler McOmber and Sienna Stone, with Noah Martinez as the alternate.
Students also went to workshops and took tours of Billings and surrounding area industries.
