There is currently a town-wide power outage, and we are doing our best to remedy our power supply, but will be in contact with families if we need to run busses early.
The Junior High Basketball game scheduled for tomorrow, Friday March 8th has been cancelled. We will let everyone know if it will be rescheduled.

Good Morning GPS families! We have not only one, but two JH basketball games here this week. First is against Foothills Christian on Tuesday with games beginning at 4, second is against Winnett/Grass Range on Friday, with games beginning at 3!
Track practice begins March 11th! Current sports physicals are required before the first practice.
The High School Ski Trip is March 13th! Please get your money in!

The first Middle School Basketball games are this week! First, DGSG will face off in Belt on Friday, March 1st beginning at 4pm. Then on Saturday is the first DGSG home game in Denton against Roy Winifred. Games begin at 10 am.
Good Luck to our girls in their game against Augusta today! You can stream the game on NFHSnetwork.com. The game begins at 12:30.

As part of the State of Montana's new school accreditation process, we are currently working on completing a comprehensive needs assessment to help us plan for and make decisions concerning the improvement of our school. Parents and households can help us with this process by completing the survey that was emailed out this morning. Good morning GPS family, I wanted to remind everyone that as of this morning there is still an opportunity to make a direct contribution to our school through the States innovation education tax credit program. Please contact the school office asap if you or anyone else you know would like to control where there state tax dollars flow! This opportunity will end soon!
A note about notifications:
We have heard that some families did not get their notifications until much later than when they were sent. Please check your phone's settings, as both Android and Apple have a feature at night where it will set your phone to Do Not Disturb. In this case, it will silence ALL notifications.

GPS family,
At approximately 8:30 pm a number of school districts across Montana received an email indicating bombs had been placed in school locations throughout the state. Tonight we worked with law enforcement and conducted a check of our school and it has been searched and cleared. Unless law enforcement officers direct us otherwise, we will have school tomorrow as normal. Should there be any changes we will post them to our website and we will send another notification. This concerted act intended to cause unjustified reactions of fear, seems to have effected a vast number of Montana districts.
It has come to our attention that our phone system is temporarily down. We are in contact with Triangle Communications to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Parents, please contact my cell phone directly in the event of an emergency for the rest of the afternoon, otherwise check with our landline periodically.
Missoula Children's Theatre is almost here! Permission slips will be sent home tomorrow, 1/16. Participation is open to students from K2-12. Tryouts are 1/22 with the performance on 1/27. We hope to see you there!
